You can take a screenshot by double clicking the PokIt icon in the system tray, by right clicking the system tray icon and then selecting the Capture function, or by using a hotkey – the default hotkey is Alt + 3, but you can always go to the settings menu and change it to something else.

Once you initiate the screen capture process, your screen will go dark. This is so you can more easily select the region you want to capture. Select any rectangular region on the screen and the PokIt tool will capture it.

Then it will present the following options to you: paint on the screenshot, add custom text to the screenshot, print the screenshot, save the screenshot as a PNG, GIF, JPEG, or BMP file, search for images, and upload screenshots to the web.

For the last function, the upload screenshot to the web function, PokIt features two options: copy the link to the clipboard or open the link in your default browser. It is worth noting that from your browser you can edit the screenshot you uploaded and you can add effects, stickers, and captions to the screenshot you uploaded.

PokIt is free software. It should work just fine with any Windows edition. If it doesn’t, it probably means that you need to install Microsoft’s .NET Framework on your PC.

Thanks to PokIt, taking screenshots is as easy as double clicking a system tray icon or using a hotkey. Once you have the screenshot, you can print it out, save it locally, or upload it to the web.

Pros

There are three means of initiating the screen capture process: double click the system tray icon, left click the icon and select Capture, use a hotkey (Alt + 3 is the default). After you take the screenshot, you can draw on it and you can add custom text to it. After you take the screenshot, you can print it out, save it, or upload it to the web. You can save screenshots as PNG, GIF, JPEG, or BMP. Upload the screenshot, open it in your browser, and edit the screenshot from your browser. PokIt is free software.

Cons

None that I could think of.
